As part of the Singapore River Festival 2008, the Legenda Singapura held in front of The Central is an hour-long journey of music, dance and puppetry, showcasing Singapore River’s colourful heritage and its transformation into a modern metropolis. The fact that Jovie was involved in the makeup for the dancers has auto-included him to lug his camera and arrive at the scene on a lazy Saturday evening.
The performance was mesmerizing with a mixture of multiracial, traditional and modern dances and spectacular lighting. Instead of the usual 50mm 1.8, he experimented with his 55-250mm IS on ISO 800 this time.
